Jay drops 444 and I swear the world went mad.

Before I even get on the topic of whether it was good or bad, the album’s release in itself had critics yapping from the gate. I was lucky enough to hear it on the FM radio due to iHeart streaming this shit for the first 24 hours. But if you didn’t know about this free stream you were like many others, either signing up for Tidal, tuning back in to Tidal, or posting social media inquiries on where to find the download for free. lol. After the initial shock of possibly having to ‘buy’ music wore off a little, the critics came by the masses. You had the ‘Yall only like it bcuz it’s Jay so Imma say its trash’ critics, the ‘Imma say its an instant classic only bcuz its Jay’ critics, the ‘imma wait to see what others I dickride off of say first then state my dickriding opinion critic, and last but not least the ‘I don’t give a fuck what yall think’ critic.

As the first 24 hours since the release came to a close, a shift in the critics cries appeared. It seemed the more they listened to it, the more opinionated they were about the tone Jay set with his theme. Grown man shit some called it. ‘Off center and lazy’ said others. Lyrics started being quoted and shared and the divide between who was feeling the album and who was rolling their eyes at these motivational posts was easily seen.

No ID was mentioned numerous times as a contributing factor to any success this album will see. Don’t kill the messenger but some say without him, this album woulda been an almost total flop. Personally I don’t agree. Personally who gives a shit tho. Jay already made his money. With or without us, his Tidal company made a 200 million dollar deal with Sprint for this album. Let’s not forget he’s a business man. (Which he so eloquently reminds us over and over again) Aint knocking his hustle fyi.

Now for the dumb rumor shit we all were hearing about. Either this is a response and admittance of him cheating on darling Bey OR the world is about to end and 444 means something crazy – just listen to the album backwards. Sigh.

One thing he definitely did do was come at Kanye. When Ye took shots at Jay on stage a while back, Jay took notes. I wont ruin it all so go find this shit… His response on ‘Kill Jay Z’:

…..you dropped outta school, you lost your principles
I know people backstab you, I feel bad too
But this fuck everybody attitude aint natural
But you aint the same, this aint KumbaYe
But you got hurt because you did cool by ‘Ye
You gave him 20 million without thinkin’
He gave you 20 minutes on stage, fuck was he thinkin’?
“Fuck wrong with everybody?” is what you sayin’
But if everybody crazy, your the one that’s insane
Crazy how life works, you got a knot in your chest

EEEEeeesh! I cant WAIT to see what or if  Ye responds. lol

As for the music……

I liked his tracks on there. Some more than others. I’ll have my few that go on a playlist, the rest forgotten forever. I try not to be bias because I know I fux with Jay. He dropped a dope ass video that keeps getting taken down. I’d post it on here but i’m not beat. If you haven’t seen it, go look for it, it’s called ‘The Story Of O.J.’. (Yeah, its another Tidal exclusive)
